About The Role
I'm searching for a driven Lead Engineer to join a Tier-1 Hedge Fund, managing teams, and leading the build-out of an entirely new cross-asset trading Desk.

Lead Software Engineers should aim to path next-generation software solutions to support business areas across the firm. They aim to achieve these goals by implementing the most recent versions of all their tech tools, encouraging consistent uptake and use of the latest versions of C++ specifically.
The Role
This unique role is for an experienced, Senior Lead Engineer who has a proven track record of managing large teams, yet still enjoys maintaining a minority of their time programming.
The company takes an entrepreneurial stance to solving complex issues; autonomy is given to employees to solve the issues the company faces with whatever approach appears most necessary. A similar approach is taken to the interview process: the company will shape the role to the candidates’ preferences and skillset.
Required Skills
5+ years of commercial experience leading teams.
In-depth and recent commercial experience working in C++ version 14 or higher.
Exposure to building Distributed Systems.
Ability to write multithreaded applications in C++.
Proven experience working within C++ frameworks Template, STL, and Boost.
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience using Agile Methodologies.
Clear communication and enthusiasm to work within a dynamic trading environment.
Ideal Skills
Cloud tooling, using Docker and Kubernetes.
Added exposure to building ultra-low-latency systems.
Solid understanding of business-facing teams in the Finance Industry.
