About The Role
The Client
Our client is an ultra-performant tech-driven FinTech, that is looking to continue its global success through a brand-new, truly unique initiative. They are searching for a driven, Principal Fullstack (Java/Angular) Engineer to take ownership of this project, pioneering the buildout of their revolutionary idea: incorporating an industry-leading market data platform with a greenfield E-Trading Platform, specializing within the global Fixed Income securities markets.
The Role
The position focuses heavily on leading a team of talented engineers through hands-on production, leading by example. The seniority of this position will allow exposure across the SDLC and business lines. This includes all aspects of Technical Leadership, from building brand-new data products, to structuring the core functionality that underpins the entire platform, to building out high-quality frontends, making this platform both effective and easy to navigate for all end clients.
Principal Engineers will have significant influence over technological decisions, ensuring they align with the business strategy. This is an ideal opportunity for Senior Engineers who would like an introduction to business aspects.
Required Qualifications
Extensive use of Java – Spring Framework/Spring Boot.
Current commercial experience with Angular.
GPA 3.5 or above in BSc/MSc Computer Science, Physics or Math.
5+ years of professional experience as a Java and Angular Engineer.
Agile processes & practices e.g. Scrum.
