About The Role
Company
This company is a financial powerhouse managing over $500 billion in assets. They are looking to escalate their London operations and focus on this market owing to the high standard of developers available.
Due to the smaller size of their London presence, they can effectively navigate markets in a highly agile way. This is an awesome opportunity to code in an environment with little legacy code and huge amounts of greenfield work already planned in their roadmap. This company also offers a very flexible model of working, asking engineers to come into the office only once a week.
Role
They are currently looking for strong Java quant developers to work on several different greenfield projects, with the team’s immediate focus being to build a new E-FX trading platform completely from scratch. You will be working alongside traders, quants, and other quant engineers to develop new bespoke features to support pricing, hedging, and algorithm trading models.
This is a great opportunity to work directly alongside senior developers who have extensive experience at some of the top funds and banks in the city. The key technology stack will be in a Java ecosystem on a cloud-first system, but there will also be a chance to code in Python on some areas of the platform.
Requirements
3 years of commercial experience coding Java 11 and proficiency in core java fundamentals
Experience working in a low-latency financial environment or on highly distributed systems with high throughout.
Strong academic background, with good computer science fundamentals.
Any experience working on e-trading platforms will also be highly beneficial.
Benefits
Up to £120,000 base salaries, with front office bonuses.
A flexible model of work – only required to be in the office once a week!
Clearly communicated bonus scheme with the opportunity to double bonuses dependent on performance.
Opportunity to work in different asset classes and gain exposure to different systems.
