About The Role
We are currently working with a global blue-chip fintech who is looking for a very senior technologist to come in and help set up a brand-new SRE function for the firm. They provide cutting-edge market data to some of the biggest hedge funds and investment managers in the world, and as they undergo a massive growth phase, they need a sustainable SRE division to create reliable and scalable tech infrastructure.
You will come in and manage a small team of engineers focused on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure, code deployments, and reducing work through automation. Additionally, you will be encouraged to direct the technology roadmap for infrastructure engineering groups across the firm. One of the major tasks will be to introduce modern technologies like Prometheus, Grafana and Datadog for observability and distributed tracing.

Requirements
6+ years in Cloud and SRE to DevOps roles
Demonstrable experience designing, building, deploying and automating infrastructure in public clouds (AWS, GCP or Azure)
Experience using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Strong knowledge in either Java or Python
Experience leading an SRE/DevOps/Platform engineering team
Salary range
$200,000 - $350,000 total compensation
