Principal Java Engineer - Director - Brand New Digital Fintech Division

We are currently working on a very senior engineering mandate at a globally renowned blue-chip firm. They are looking for a Principal Java engineer to help drive out a brand-new division focused on creating modern fintech consumer products.

They are functioning like a fintech start-up within the business (offering a brand-new revenue stream unlike anything else at the firm), and you will be joining a truely greenfield initiative with a completely fresh codebase and huge funding. They are still in the early inception stages for many of their projects, with most of the specifics still currently under NDA to not lose their competitive edge on the market.

This group places real emphasis on code quality and is truly passionate about well-tested software and best practices. They are looking for entrepreneurial engineers who want to be involved in the entire SDLCC and take control of projects from inception/design to completion.

Requirements

• Excellent Java programming skills

• Experience with microservices architecture

• Experience with RESTful APIs and web technologies

• Strong advocate for collaborative engineering techniques and methodologies – Agile, TDD, BDD

• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)

• An entrepreneurial and product-focused mindset
