About The Role
We are working with one of the world's top 3 FinTechs who are building out a brand-new Tech Centric Arm of their firm, focussed entirely on leveraging open source DevOps and Cloud tools to deliver a Core Platform that will underpin the entire company and all its business areas. This group has been working in the last 12 months to establish a new Digital Banking Product and is now dedicating funds primarily into the DevOps Space. This area decides on the observability, resilience, reliability and automation tools that will be integrated into the platform, and all new products and applications that are rolled out. Currently, there is frequent opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools like Kubernetes, Ansible, Grafana, Prometheus and ELK Stack to name a few!
Over the course of the next 5 years, they aim to build a whole new technology ecosystem bespoke to their company and that will then be rolled out publicly as a competitor to AWS, GCP and Azure. To drive this, they will be making a key strategic DevOps Engineering hire by the end of Q3 to grow out this essential team with someone highly experienced and keen to be involved on the ground coding but also to play an essential part in the wider technology strategy. This individual will have great ownership of the SDLC of this Platform, contributing significantly to the technical developments and being an imperative member in the decisions made across the progression of this project.
