Senior Python Engineer – Front Office – Greenfield Data Analytics Platform – 12 Months FTC
We are working with one of the world’s leading asset managers, looking for senior Python engineers to work on a greenfield project in a front-office role – migrating servers from a Java ecosystem to Python and building out a new data analytics platform from scratch.

They are a global asset manager that currently manages over $1.5 trillion. This company is exploring multiple avenues to extend its strong position and continuously improve and invest in its technology, as they understand it is conducive to its market success.
Role
They are currently looking for senior Python engineers to build out a completely greenfield, state-of-the-art data analytics platform for Fixed Income which allows portfolio managers to make better business decisions. This platform will be pulling data points from all across the company, as well as from external markets like Bloomberg. Fixed Income is also the company’s highest-performing area, so this role comes with lucrative compensation! They are looking for an individual who will hit the ground running and help the desk realise and surpass its full ambition, by accepting responsibility and driving improvement. This would be a very strategic hire for them in a well-invested space.
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial software engineering
- Expert knowledge of Python
- Experience with open-source frameworks like NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Git etc.
- Knowledge of either JavaScript/TypeScript/Kotlin
- Front office experience at leading IBs/funds/asset managers
- Collaborative approach to work
- Extensive use of TDD and proficiency in writing clean code
- Strong educational background in computer science/maths/physics
