Senior Python Risk Engineer

The Client

Our client is a Tier-1 Tech powerhouse and asset management firm, that is looking to continue their global success through a brand-new, truly unique initiative. They are searching for a Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of this project, pioneering the buildout of their brand-new commodities Risk platform, which will pair with their greenfield trading arm to make the company a market leader in global commodities trading in 2023.

The Role

The position focuses heavily on working with the latest in scalable design, data structures, algorithms, performance tuning, and distributed systems in Python. Activities would feature daily communication directly with clients to provide cutting-edge Risk & PnL calculation solutions.

Senior Engineers will have the chance to work closely with clients, gathering requirements and making continuous improvements to risk management processes, while still maintaining ownership across the entire SDLC, with the opportunity to mentor other members of the team.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as an Object-Oriented Python Engineer in the financial services industry.

• Strong experience with database technologies in design and analysis, such as SQL.

• Experience using Kubernetes and cloud systems.

• Experience working with firmwide risk systems.

• Agile processes & practices e.g. Scrum.
