About The Role
A pioneering technology house that is disrupting the market, and financially backed by one of the World’s most prolific FinTech houses, is hiring in London for software engineers to join one of the most revolutionary platforms in the industry. This project has the guaranteed backing of multiple high-worth investors, and the technology landscape consists of entirely greenfield development in a modern start-up culture.
The technical landscape of the project is building a highlight distributed and ultra-high performant API service with a focus on low latency, building a platform to be used by globally renowned financial markets and organizations. Engineering follows the Spotify Model, allowing you to work on end-to-end systems that give you as much and as little exposure as you like on a variety of projects, whilst maintaining a highly tech-driven Agile approach throughout.
They are looking for an experienced Software Developer to be the go-to decision-maker. You will have technical ownership of every project you work on and help deliver them end to end. This client is paying higher than market standard without front-loading, and they provide a road map of expected increasing salaries and bonuses year on year.
Required Skills:
6+ years of commercial experience coding in: (JVM) Java, Kotlin, Scala or Golang / All cloud-native built on top of AWS.
Good cloud experience (preferably AWS, but also Azure or GCP).
Proven background working in an Agile / XP way following TDD, ATDD, BDD, Pair Programming etc.
Nice to have:
Computer science fundamentals (University degree)
Good design and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of financial markets (open to both inside and outside of Finance)
