About The Role
A globally renowned hedge fund is currently looking for a senior software engineer to join a critical X-Asset Trading Tech team.
This is a very senior mandate looking for a passionate engineer (Typescript/JavaScript/React) to join a small specialized engineering team that services all trade processing and risk for the FICC business. Your work will have a significant and tangible impact on the bottom line of the firm, building bespoke software tools from scratch that are used daily by traders and have a rapidly growing set of end-users.
As a product of their work, the team also owns a core UI component library and design system that is used internally across the firm globally.
They are an exceptional tech-driven firm that truly values modern software and practices, so this is an opportunity to build a host of brand new applications from scratch with the latest in cloud and opensource tools. The code is all written in the latest version of TypeScript and their applications are powered by React/Redux.
Requirements
5+ years’ commercial experience as a software engineer.
Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and the latest versions of React.
User-interface design skills and an appreciation for visual direction.
Previous experience in finance is beneficial but not required.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related fields from a top school
