About The Role
The UK’s fastest-growing FinTech has a critical Java engineering mandate within its technology HQ based in London. They’ve thrown huge financial backing (£4 billion) behind the build-out of a brand new arm, with the core concept being centred around customer engagement, creating a second-to-none experience for the everyday user.
Healthy work culture is hugely important to my client who is seeking passionate technologists that always strive to find the most bleeding-edge solutions. More specifically, they are looking to build highly performant, distributed solutions through collaborative work leveraging TDD, BDD and Pair Programming in a Spotify-style start-up culture.
The technology stack in play comprises of the most modern frameworks and tools on the market including Java 17, Golang, Spring Boot microservices and AWS. The ideal candidate has a polyglot mindset and is someone seeking a challenge, happy to work on a variety of greenfield projects.
They are known to pay above market rate for the best developers out there, so will be able to guarantee an uptick on base salary!
Requirements
At least 5+ years working with a JVM technology and microservices frameworks
A Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or a related course.
Commercial experience with AWS/GCP/Azure
A passion for using collaborative software engineering techniques (agile, TDD, BDD, continuous integration).
